I found this skull on the bank of a river in southern Alberta.
There was a thunderstorm passing by providing a dark sky but I thought the photo needed to be moodier, so I converted it to b&w & made it darker using PSE2.

I love the skull, looks great in black and white, but I'd like to have seen a little more of the stormy sky, which could have made it even moodier! Well spotted though - what a sinister find!

I like this, very dramatic image, quite surreal , like a scene from the Doors movie. Nice work!

I like that extreme difference in contrast here. So the B&W is perfect.

A really great image, with a sinister element, would make a fine book cover for a macabre novel, b/w works beautifully.

The contrasting difference is strong and your unusual subject material is not without impact Phil.

the skull is drawing all the attention which is good. despite that I would have liked to see a bit more definition in the sky behind it.

An excellent shot with well-controlled depth of field and great contrast. Maybe a little more space around the skull would make it even better but there's not much room for improvement!
