Spellbound 2

By phiso
Well here it is. I've taken the comments and tweaked my photo accordingly.

I blurred the background which helped bring the subject out as intended but perhaps not as much as hoped for. So I then darkened the background to get rid of the distracting cards and chair. I still need some practice I think; there's a bit too much blur on the arm in my opinion but I'm short of time right now so it'll have to wait for the weekend!

Have to agree that I think it looks better for the extra work so thanks for the tips!

A gorgeous image - well thought out and caught. I really like the soft feel to this image, just right for candle light! Smile

Yes, there is a little blur, but it adds to the overall image, in my opinion. A lovely portrait.

Your new version is a nice improvement !....the b/g is no longer competing with the subject, so the eye is now immeadiately drawn to the face & the candle....the slight softness on the arm isn't an issue ?...it suits the mood of the image....I'd leave it at that now, it looks top notch to me !

Oh well done, you've turned this into such a lovely image and I totally agree with earlier comments that the slight blur on the arm fits well with the rest of the image, so definitely leave it as is! Beautiful Smile.

Thank you all for the kind comments and especially those who took the time to explain how I could transform the image into something even more special. And my daughter loves it too!

Very beautiful profile of a young lady, the candle provides the soft glow to the hair, eyes and skin, and the magic is her. Excellent title "spellbound"
