Ringed Plover

By photowanderer
I was scrunching along the beach on the sand and cockle shells when I encountered this tiny bird. Instead of flying away it stood its ground at about three of four meters distance and I was able to take about a dozen shots of it. The tide was going out, so I thanked it for being such a good poser and left it to get on with its lunch in peace.
