Hello, Nicola, and welcome to EPZ. Great title. This is an excellent candid with good tones for a mono. I couldn't help seeing the humerous side of it. You have composed it really well, with the picture above the boy, and also with the boy just about to munch on a potato stick. I felt that the picture top right distracted from the interaction of boy and wedding photo so, in my modification, I removed it, then darkened the wedding photo to make its tones more balanced with those of the boy.

Thanks Sahyadri, and for your welcome
yes, Diwali is about colours/lights. there was so much there but I didn't capture anything good enough to upload. did get shots of our Prime Minister while she was there but they weren't good enough either!
just have to keep practising and'hope to capture better next time.
enjoyed your portfolio

Hi Jo
Thanks for you comments, how encouraging!
I put up a shot this morning, not the greatest but it was fun taking it all the same and I like the idea. I'm yet to learn more basics about Photoshop and my camera is basic but that will all change within the months ahead. So much stimulation and inspiration on this great site.
Your portfolio is incredible, truly art. really enjoy looking at it every so often.
