Wanaka Tree

Probably one of the most photographed trees in the world, but you have to get your own shot, especially after travelling halfway around the world.
I was very patient when I got there and there was about 5 busloads of Chinese tourists in front of me, I waited about half an hour but they were not moving so I waded out into the lake in front of them all to get my shots, you should have seen the looks I got!

You were there at the right time on the right day, Ian - sky and swimming birds - and this does have the look of a Japanese print to it.
A GEA is deserved, I feel...

A cracking shot Ian and an effective black and white conversion. The ducks are a nice foreground touch and that sky - wow! Glad to click on 30 for you and my award too. Very nicely done.
