Does it belong on a narrow boat at all. (used in tunnels)

Hi Mark, mmmm intriguing answer but no as far as I know its not used on a narrow boat

When I was but a lad, they used lamps like this for the 'Head Code' on trains, the position of the lamps denoting the type of train, goods, passenger etc.
