Cheetah's at Chester zoo....

By MikeRC
Hi .....more shots of the Cheetahs at Chester zoo:
...these were taken at the weekend when on the Friday the young cheetahs were very active but on a return visit on Saturday, despite leaning on the barrier for 2 sad am I ?.... they were nowhere to be seen.
...memo to Chester about a sign ?..."CHEETAHS IN / NOT IN RESIDENCE"
...still, what else am I gonna do ? ....go fishin' !!!

Thanks for looking at my pictures, your comments, clicks and views really are appreciated. makes the fact that they are never as sharp as I would like, somewhat more bearable.

...stay lucky....Mike

Excellent shot Mike. What a shame it was not captured on an East African Safari. Start saving your pennies.!!!

V1 is out of this world, incredible capture. I just read the above and thought exactly the same.

"it makes the fact that they are never as sharp as I would like,"
Mike, in a effort to help with this, may I say that the focus point on #1 and #2 seems to be on the hind quarters and tail of the one on top. May I suggest that you lock your centre sensor in the viewfinder in the middle, focus on the eye, and whilst still holding the shutter half cocked, re compose and shoot. This works for me every time, and if you don't already do this, give it a try, I'm sure it will solve the problem. You don't say what aperture you used here, but I would add that you need a fairly large depth of field to get them both in focus. Both shots are great, hope my input helps.
