Interesting comparison, I think I prefer V2 - the hawk seems more alert, tense, poised to move at any moment.

These are a pair of cracking shots Ann. Superb detail and my favourite angle down the back with a turned head.
Superb captures.
The wings out is a trait of a bird shielding food, which these do alot
