Freezing Tees

By pmphotography
I have been itching to get out all week with the camera, unfortunately for me work came first. I managed to get out at lunchtime on Friday and grab a few shots, its not every day that you see the River Tees start to freeze.

I used to swim in the Tees. Wouldn't fancy it now. Great shot.

Deffinately not too often that you get the chance to get this shot so far down river!! Heids....I love river swimming, but never thought about the Tees (noticing whats on your doorstep and all that). It would be very swimable at this point since the barrage has been constructed and the tide stops at Stockton.......though perhaps not through the ice!!

Many thanks for the comments.

Re: River swimming. DigitalConvert...the other hazard on this stretch of the river is the Tees Princess pleasure boat that takes passengers from Stockton to Yarm. Could be worth checking the timetable before going in for a dip!!

Cheers Paul
