Thanks for looking and I hope you like what you see. I live in Northern Ireland now with my long suffering husband and teenage children, who tolerate my passion for photography (as if they have a choice) and of course our two collies. I have worked my way from the Canon 600d - then Canon 60d - and now Canon 6d and I love the 17-40mm lens.

I have learnt so much on EPZ and there is always someone to ask for help and advice.

I'm sorry to say I couldn't find the link when I looked last week and it was only when I got my SD card today that I tried harder to find it (I enter every year and just thought I hadn't won anything).

A big thank you to Ephotozine for running the draw in the first place.

Hi have been so pleased to pick up my new camera today after a five week wait, took a few images (as you do) some in jpg and the rest in raw, the jpg imported no problem into lightroom via card reader, no sign of the raw files. Still trying to get the camera to connect up to my Wifi, its taking its time Sad any help or advice from you technical minded peopled out there.

I have cleaned my sensor to great success and at f/16 have a spotless white screen on my monitor, so pleased and happy to save myself that money which can now be put towards a new ND filter after drowning the last one. Thank you everyone for your input.Smile

I shoot at f/16 a lot of the time with my 6D. All my processing is done in Lr but to be honest I still have a lot to learn about it and I dont know if it would also have dust delete or something similar. Would be great if it has and then I would need advice on how to use it Wink

All your advice has been brilliant and I've a plan of action

    1) I need a better blower brush, mine is a wee cheapy and I think could be sucking as much dust back in for me to squirt back out again.

    2) A cleaning kit

    3) The magnifier (looks a great idea)

    4) Steady hands (I do possess these as used to do a lot of fly tying and now do embroidery)

    5) Nerves of steel (my camera is my baby)

    6) I CAN DO THIS!! (confidence is a great thing)

THANK YOU EVERYONE AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL (I will let you know the results next year)

Have decided to give it a go myself with the wet clean on an old camera first, so will invest in some cleaning fluid and swabs tomorrowGrin

Have tried the blowers and a dry clean, a bit scared of using the wet clean in case I get the wrong stuff but will check it out on the internet, thanks for the feedback

It's adding up on costs getting it cleaned but it's even more frustrating having to spend ages removing the spotsSad

Already tried a different lens but still the same and have done all the white paper tests etc, is it possible the sensor could have been damaged with cleaning solution as all the 'dust' spots look like they have a halo around them when enlarged on the monitor.

My Canon 6d has now been twice for professional cleaning and hasn't come back any cleaner, probably worse if anything, (the shop doesn't see any problem), I now have to remove over 50 dust spots on images with a lot of sky mainly from the two top corners for some reason. I have just given it a go myself but the they stubbornly remain. I'm going to try another well known place for cleaning later this week but wondered if anyone here has had similar problems or any advice they could give me.

I know if it was my partner getting something for me, I would prefer a voucher or coupon for my favourite camera store or even online shopping! that way if there was something he had his eye on, you have contributed and given him the encouragement to go and buy it. (I'm making sure my partner reads this lol)WinkGrin
