Taken near Birsay, Orkney. The boat kept coming close to the shore and then moving out again, I think it was putting out crab pots. Quite a feat of seamanship considering the state of the sea, it was so windy I watched a Crow set a new airspeed record.

Great shot! The water and the rocks are just spot on and the red floats are a nice touch of colour in what could almost be a monochrome image. Just a shame the sky was so flat. All the same this has impact! Click

Love the wave motion here. It adds to the impact of the image as a whole.

Don't knock the sky John you don't get to see it very often on Orkney, normally it's grey, wet and about six inches above your head. I have to agree with you though, a few fluffy white clouds would be just the job. Thanks all for your comments.

There's loads going on in this, I love the light on the spray. Well done.
