I can’t tell you how much fun we had, the idea behind the day was to put into practice the things we had leant on recent lighting courses using the new beauty dish / softbox for speedlights.
I suppose booking a studio and not using the equipment there was a bit of a waste and getting a model was a luxury but it was well worth it and there’s no substitute for getting to know your equipment (Snigger Snigger!), plus the space and sets within the studio were great.
We found ourselves fighting for time and ended up doing very little of what we had planned previously but as they say “The best laid plans of mice and men”
Sascha really helped and at times was her own worst critic, wanting to get the shots right which from our point of view was great
Shot with a Mcgillycuddy 19” Modifier (with 580 EX) set up as a softbox not as a beauty dish.
A 430Ex with reflector for fill, and another 430Ex behind the glass blocks
The set had a mirror along the back wall which presented a problem as the reflection was of the boudoir set opposite; which limited the angles for the shots but still managed to take enough that I was dithering over which to post.
