Its a big yellow thing Paula, trust me I know these things.

I couldn't find anything like it! Its a lovely photo too - lovely and clear. I do hope someone comes up with an ID I shall keep my eye on this one! Good shot.

A nice sharp shot Paula,could it be a ladybird larva? not sure but might be worth looking up.

It's an immature beetle (i.e. the larvae) of some description. The shape is like a ladybird larvae, although I haven't seen them this colour before.

I thought it could be a ladybird larvae too but there is no documentation of one this colour. Thanks to everyone so far Smile

Glad to see you are still posting Paula its hard to stay away isnt it great looking beastie will keep checking back to see if it gets a positive ID I have been off line 3 weeks now so am looking at anything and everything to photograph
