Like #1 better. Perhaps another interesting version is to spot focus on the beach or the blue sea.Tongue

Strange that we seldom all agree between versions, which really means
we must photograph what WE like and how we like it.
I love V1 today with all those earthly colours and the exotic feel of the image.

A great image Marian, textures, and as Kate so aptly put those earthly colours, well capturedSmile I like the mono as well but the colour just has it today.

Hello Kate, you are right. As a social scientist, I am finding the elections this awesome group of people make of color vs. B&W extremely interesting. Each one of us connects to the images differently, and that is fascinating.
Cheers, ma'dear. Happy weekend!

Such a variety, and another well composed image, Marian. Colour shows the detail better for me this time.

I do like the selective way you see the world.
The colour version springs to life today.

Great diagonals

I prefer V1 for the richness of the colour. The intrusion by those dry leaves, top right, and the way they sneak into the frame and conflict with the other very strong diagonals, adds real visual interest. A very well-considered composition, Marian, and a very satisfying image Smile
