Perfect title for this great fisher!
I love this photo, Marian. The branches and the form of the egret's neck are so congruent, great catch.

Gosh....imagine perching on all that complicated woodwork.
An excellent image Marian, the contrast of the gnarled wood works well against the smooth feathers of the bird.

Good well-composed shot, Marian, but you're over-exposing a bit, and that's causing you to lose some detail in that bright white plumage.

Superbly captured, I've been trying to bag one of these beautiful birds for a year now, and I'm still not happy with my attempts.

Yes Alan, the whites are exploded but I didn't want to discard the shot. The EXIF is pretty much the same as in the other shot (the one that you liked much). I actually raised the aperture to the max f/8.0 but should have increase the speed as well. Next time I will keep that in mind. Thanks for commenting, Alan.

Thanks for your comments! I was startled when I saw it flying towards the top of that tree with all the twisting and twirling branches. Next time I will shoot the whole thing so you can have an idea of the height because it is a pretty tall tree!

Your Spanish is perfect, bella=beautiful. It only needs the stress on the "a" of "esta" (to be).

Beautiful shot Marian, well composed and I love all the angles of the wood, the Egret's feet...
... and the big splash of yellow of its beak.
