Sunset of Cheung Chau

By ppang
Again, this is one of the photos that I took during my trip to this lovely little fishing island called Cheung Chau (in Hong Kong).

Kindly spare some time for comment/critic(s)... please. Many thanks!

This is a nice picture but you might want to straighten the horizon and put it up again as it slopes from left to right, it often happens when your in a rush to post an image on epz, I know I have done it myself a couple of times, if you scroll the picture up to the top of the screen you will see what I mean when the top left hand side of sea level touches the edge of window you will notice boats going down hill. Hope this helps and welcome to epz.

Very constructive comment, Pooch! Thank you so much! I didn't realise details like that before! Actually, I took this picture on a ferry without a tripod/monopod. Because it was getting dark and I dislike using flash, I had to put the camera on the the edge of the ferry (I don't know how it's properly called). I guess that's why the horizon's sloping. How do you usually correct problems like this? Adobe Photoshop?

Hi Poh, yes you can use rotate in photoshop in degree's and also there is a ruler you can use to get a straight line across the page too, you will also have to crop the picture to afterwards.

A nice capture in the late shaft of sunshine Poh-Choo. I wasn't aware that the horizon was sloping . Looks good to me . LOL .

A busy scene with so many boats. I like the atmosphere of this with the boats silhouetted, and the sunlight reflecting from the water. I feel it could benefit from some sharpening in Photoshop (unsharp mask).
