Sleepy Goat

This goat was lying in a dark shed with just a little light entering through the shed doorway. I haven't changed anything of the out-of-the-camera (non-flash) image other than a little cropping. Perhaps I should lighten it a little?

I personally wouldn't lighten it at all ... there's enough light on the goat's face to allow for recognition and appreciation. Let the rest of it fall into shadow - to my eyes, that's the bit that works best.

All I might do myself, were this my image, is to sharpen a touch. At that ISO, you're going to get some digital noise; that's inevitable. But the other thing you could try is seeing what this looks like in mono? Just a thought though, and it might lose the charm it has by going down that route.

I do like it though. There's a wonderful, sleepy innocence about it that's very endearing Smile
