Blue Jay

By taggart
Blue Jay
Cyanocitta cristata 12 inches
aka the FOREST ALARM--this raucous bird will scream at any intruder in his territory.

SNOW BIRDS: an explanation for my previous image---quoting some web sources (advertisements)
SNOW GUARD--designed to prevent dangerous movement of snow on metal roofs
ICE BREAKS--used to prevent dangerous and destructive snow and ice avalanches from metal roofs
Sorry for the confusion---

That is a fantastic lens! These raucous birds always delight me at the feeder. We have some that are so fat they look like they have been on steroids!
