Street Photo 1

By psu68
I have been reading about & watching videos on street photography over several weeks, especially how to go about it inconspicuously. I thought I would give it a try --- this and a few others to follow were taken without ever looking in the viewfinder to focus, compose etc. I set the camera up to what I thought were reasonable settings and hoped for the best. They were shot either from the chest or hip using Panasonic G2 in camera B&W high dynamic range film emulation. I was very surprised at some of the results and had a ball doing it.

An excellent result from your photographic subterfuge, beautifully focussed and composed.

I don't have to resort to such tactics because i am a 66 year old woman and therefore completely invisible!

I think street photography works best in cities and maybe especially large crowded places
This one turned out astonishingly well-- More please….

I would be in big trouble--well it would help to have a small camera...

A good result. Your tactics worked well. A moving subject, too.
I like it lots. Great shot, well done. Looking forward to your next offering.
