Welcome Visitor

By psu68
We had a visitor to our pond the other morning. I believe it was a juvenile, female Coopers Hawk that was attracted to our goldfish hiding at the bottom. She took a little bath, watched the fish for awhile and then took off. My wife doesn't like when these raptors show up in the summer because they tend to pick off the fish rather readily - but in winter the fish are usually at the bottom so this time was OK.
