The quaint small town of Garachico, on the North West coast of Tenerife. Here, many years ago, Garachico was once the capital and hub of trade, where ships would come into the port to sell and buy goods.
Unfortunately, in 1706 a volcano erupted sending molten lava pouring from the crater to take away a large section of the town. More unfortunate was, the lava carried on into the sea and into the natural deep sea port, making it impossible for ships to enter.
