Alex, the photo is really poor quality. i literally ran to the balcony took a burst of about 7 then ran back again. i took no time over it cause i was wet and fed up. the more you crop and zoom in the worse it gets..... shameful i know.
Thank you so much for the suggestion though. I am going back on a dry day to try again so hopefully i'll get a few better ones then.
I got two photos over the whole day, i will put the other one up later. Thats how bad the day went lol

Please refer to modified image. Modified as requested! I've carried out an initial crop to use the lead in along the track from bottom left to loco, and remove some of the bland sky. Levels adjusted to set black and white points in the image. Since you had captured some excellent texture in the trees behind the train, a few crops of these were used to mask the large expanse of steam on rhs. A couple of bits of dodge nad burn, to lower brightness along boiler top and cab, and reveal more of the wheel details, followed by selective sharpening and the jobs done. Hope it's not to severe for you. Regards
