You are right wrong aperture and speed of 1/1600.

I notice you also had exposure compensation perhaps an attempt to get the sky looking better.

I am not a fan of bracketing shots as I do not like the HDR effect that one gets. Personally having been brought up with film I would use ND filters.

All in all as a rule I will generally have my camera set to aperture priority usually F8 or F11 (for most lens these are the sharpest) and just check my speed when I meter the scene.

PS if you use a tripod you can manually bracket shots using any camera. Just do multiple shots adjusting you stops - 1, 0, +1 for example. Providing nothing in the shot is moving it will work fine.

    Keep Clicking.

Nice shot Carsten - great use of the fence in the foreground - diagonal paths in bright light throughout the image work well and the position of the tower and church are perfect - good example of classic composition - Cheers Andy

Great night shot - Carsten - only comment I have is that my focus leads to the 2 towers in the center of the image - sadly one of them has a post right in the middle of the clock - perhaps a fractional change of position would have solved this - Cheers Andy

Tough one Ellie I am not sure I like the dark top right corner as it tends to draw me away from the subject this is highlighted by the lines created by the windows we are all different but for me you need to maintain a focus on your main subject or perhaps the window was it for you really not sure post a mod to see what you thing Cheers Andy
