Street Art

By Rach1970
First of all thanks to everyone for all the c&c's on my last upload 'Colours of Autumn' which is my first photo to get itself into the Reader's Choice Gallery - wow! Smile
A completely different one today. Went out early this morning to get some shots of Jack Frost visiting the local park. Spent about 3/4 hour getting freezing cold but not many usable photos. On the way home I passed this image jumping out at me (together with a few others) from the boards around the perimeter of a local building site. Turns out that local youth clubs are providing support/materials/equipment/expertise for this 'street art' in the hope of curbing the more unsightly 'tagging' which the area is at risk of. V2 is the original photo.
More images will hopefully be uploaded soon.
Thanks for taking a look again,
Rachel

Nice one Rach. I don't usually think of your area as having street art, but its a good idea of the local youth group. Are you going to upload the coloured version too? ( I know, some people are never happy!!)

Well that was your opinion Chris and thanks for your comment. I chose to do b&w on this occasion but am hoping to upload colour versions in the future. We all live and learn.

Thanks everyone for your comments. As I said before, we all live and learn... I shall perhaps give V1 the colour treatment and upload it straight away again tomoz. Thanks.

Hi Rach - I think if you had just uploaded V2 then you would have been in danger of representational art and it woudln't even have been your own. But in V1 you present very much your own interpretation and that is what makes this YOUR ART and not simply a rendition.

Bravo for your interpretation
