For those of you who have been following this, my camera is back!

Long story short (long story is in my previous blog):
Camera dial broke ---> sent off 30th Sept ---> got phone call saying it was in, but camera shop (over phone) said it wasn't.

Today we went into town for a bit of shopping and I decided to go into the camera shop to find out what was going on. We go in and I explain to the guy what I know - the camera being sent off etc.. He rings someone, but it's their day off, so he asks me some more questions before looking in a drawer.
Lo and behold, there is my Fuji.
"So....how long has it been in there for?"
".....since the 10th."
"That was two weeks ago. We were told on the 10th that it wasn't in. Why is that?"
"Uhh...I can only apologise for whoever said that."
_ How helpful (mental note, always take names on the phone)

So it turns out it's been in the drawer for two weeks, and that the guy on the phone was totally wrong.

Then I ask about guarantees. I need another year's guarantee just in case something like this happens again. I also ask if it's a repair or a replace.
He can't answer either of these, says I need to speak to the people further up in the company. They send a fax with my details on and tell me I'll hear from them.
We leave, a bit miffed at the service, but glad that I've got a camera again.

Getting home (are you still reading this? Wink), we have a message from Devon Cameras telling me that my camera is in the system somewhere and that they are looking for it.
I ring them and say that this message was left an hour after I picked up the camera.
"Really? Then why did you send the fax?"
I explain.
"Oh, I can't tell you that. The repair guy isn't in until tomorrow. You'll hear from us next week some time."


Well, at least I have my camera back. 9_9 That's something!
