Forget having an expensive camera, we all want better cameras, but learning about shooting good photographs is far from just having good kit.
The more i read the more i recognise that understanding Art is key to super photographs, find a library and look at art books and colours that work together.
You have access to the web, so even with your small images look for photo stitching programs that can make bigger pictures from smaller ones.
