Forget the housework and the gardening it was too good to stay at home today so I took a drive down to the Essex coast at the mouth of the River Thames. The old town of Leigh on Sea nestles beneath the headland between the sea and the railway and the 'new' town spreads up the hill and onto the headland.
A couple ascend the hill but are not allowed to stop for a breather by the double yellow lines.
Part of the waterfront and moorings.
A view of the High street from the railway bridge.
I am told the best times to visit for photography are sunrise or sunset when the tide is out, so I went at midday when the tide was in , hey ho.
