It is quite some time since my last blog and a hoard of people, 2, have persuaded me to start again. I gave up in disgust, at myself, for missing my 365 by 20 minutes one evening last October and also at losing my internet connection when the cable was dug up by an itinerant thief.
I also thought I would return due to this image taken last Monday on a trip into London.
I titled the shot 'Eat more, drink less' for the reason that the two words Eat and More are displayed in the shot and the queue of three people is for a toilet. This pay and do not display toilet is in Thames Street on the south bank near County Hall or Boris's House as it is now known.
Now I can understand why the Eat sign is there but why the More should appear across the street on the end of a toilet block escapes me. It has also escaped the attention of the chap lined up behind two ladies that the toilet is for ladies. The architect's subliminal message is only displayed by the figure of a lady on top of the building and not by traditional signage on the door. Only when one venture further down the street does one find a similar building with a man on top. Clever stuff this. One also has to ponder the meaning of a rill bringing water from one end of the street to the other, I have concluded that this must represent someone taking the p..s.
