Is that really the pier at Southend On Sea. It has certainly changed from when I was a kid. But that was a very very long time ago. It used to have a train running along it !

I had to look very hard, and go back to a picture I took in late 2012 - but yes. The view looking back along the pier from next to a very modern structure near the end. If memory serves (and it may well not be accurate) Jamie Oliver had had a temporary restaurant in the green hut by the bend.

I'll jsut say it's a very long pier on a chilly December day. Especially for a man in his late fifties!

A shot worth venturing out for Ken! I especially like the mono because shows more plainly all the intricate detail of the structure. Bob
