Marine Court

By randomrubble
Image of St. Leonards on Sea's iconic Marine Court, known as 'the ship building' it was the tallest residential block in england when it was completed in the 30s.

Taken with my soft focus OLYMPUS TRIP 35 which has all that diffsion because the front element is a complete mess but it only cost 2 from a car boot, so not bad. I found a good one the next week for 3! Anyhow, I liked the Trip enough that I'm now the proud owner of a 35 DC rangefinder.

I think this is superb. The strong halation and possible vignetting (or is it just that the blur of the building doesn't reach the corners? Grin) gives an almost Holga feel to the shot, accentuated by the unusual composition that has the subject hiding behind a fence.

Another demonstration that you can get great shots with almost any camera, as long as you bear its qualities and limitations in mind.
