I'm pleased with this photo because it looks so much like a pencil/charcoal sketch but it's pretty close to straight from the camera. Achieved by backlighting a Dandelion seed head with bounced sunlight... The lens is a 90mm macro with +14 additions and the only way to focus with all that glass is to move the camera. So it's another 'outdoor studio' set-up...

Yeah you are correct... Looks like pencil sketch but also have a effect of camera shot... Excellent work!!!! Just a thought ... why not try with a different background where everything is visible clearly. Few focus points are missing in this picture.Tongue

The problem with getting something clear in the background is depth of field... there is very little when things get as close as this. Plus I wanted a lot of the seeds st remain soft to give a dreamy look rather than a botanical record of a dandelion...
