Tiny Moth

By RAPjones
I was very lucky to catch this shot because of the high wind but that did effect the background which I'm really pleased with. I can't ID this moth because I didn't catch the wing markings... Shot mid summer, Midlands, UK.

Great shot in the circumstances and I agree that the strong wind has given an abstract dreamy quality to the background. Like the diagonal composition too. Excellent

Thats fantastic! Animal macros aren't really my thing (although I am very impressed by some of the really, really top notch macro work), but this works for me as its slightly surreal, has a very different feel to it. Really good accident with the background though!
Wonderful close-up image, well taken !

Many thanks for your comments, photobuds... appreciated Smile
Was thinking about the chances of capturing this shot after posting (I had to hold the blade of grass)... The actual pivot point of all motion on that 10mm moth during this 640th of a sec was it's eye!! That's my personal chaos theory working just for me Wink
Cheers, Rog.
