Urban Gull

By RAPjones
I do like to experiment and this is what I class as an experimental result... It has to be noted that the 'Jupiter sky' is for real (see my 'Meteoric Dawn' shot) and those chimneys were there in front of it. Nature can be freaky it it's very best! I have pushed contrast and forced the DOF...

You do seem to be able to see the surreal, the strange, the different and weird.....and I love that. I would never see the images you have shown recently, it shows a great imagination...something I lack a bit of.....this is fantastic. I feel like this could be a still from a book somewhere, something like Jonathon Livingston Seagull (I know its not a gull) or something similar.....really lovely moody and clever image...well shot!

Many thanks for you imput, JB, It's always appreciated. I love to know what one of my picys stirs in others and a book illustration didn't enter my mind but I totally see where you're coming from...
For me, this image was slightly inspired by Hitchcock's 'The Birds'...

I think it's an experiment that definitely worked. It's a really interesting photo, where everything seems to be moving very fast and yet it could be moving very slowly too. Surreal and slightly spooky, but I think it's great. Well done.

Stillness and motion, and the frozen moment in time - this is superb.
