  • On hindsight I think because Iíve been out of touch for such a long time Iíve probably lost my confidence a bit.
I think that for the moment Iíll stick with the Tamron and get and out take loads of photos and begin to enjoy it again. Iíll upload them onto the website get critique and go from there.
Thanks for all of your input

  • Iíve seen a Pentax DA 17-70 f4 for sale what are your thoughts on this lens.
Or am I going in the wrong direction ?
  • Thanks for the input Stuart

Iím very happy with the K5, I was just thinking of changing the Tamron 17-50 for something more up to date as a standard walk about lens, as I originally purchased it secondhand. As you said itís probably worth me waiting to see how things go.
It would be nice though to have a new toy.

  • Hi All

I've been away for a very long time, but as we are in an very unfortunate situation at the moment it 's encouraged me to get my camera out again and I'm getting rather excited about taking some pics again. Now I can't remember when I last posted something on this site, probably about ten years ago. I don't even recall taking any worth while pictures within that time.
I still have the same gear as I did then, but I am considering changing my Tamron 17-50 for something that is more equivalent to to this present time to use for more everyday use. I've had the standard 18-55 and the 16-45 lenses. I don't really want to spend too much on one, but saying that it depends what it is. and whether it's worth the extra outlay.
If it's not worth it then that's fine, just interested in what people have to say. Let's hope that once again I can contribute to this site.

As always your thoughts and opinions are most welcome
  • Hi Karl
Thanks for the reply i've looked in the areas that you suggested but i can't see anything that shows the links being blocked. When it comes to this sort of thing i'm not very good at fixing it.

  • I've just received the latest e-mail about the special christmas draw, and when i click on one of the links i get a message this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. This happens when using Microsoft Outlook, if i use Outlook Express then nothing happens at all when clicking the link. I've never had this problem before so can anyone please help.

    Thanks

  • Thanks Kenp
I was thinking of contacting Pentax to get it looked at as it's still under warranty, but the problem then is how long will that take, from what i've heard they never seem to be in a hurry to fix things. I don't want to be without my camera for too long.
  • I must say that after all the leaning banter, i'ts nice to see my post is now being taken more seriously.

  • You are missing the point i'm trying to help if you are not interested in my help then don't comment.. This is the second time that i have put a post on this forum. The first time i found that i was getting silly comments so i made a point on that issue and was told to chill out, so i did. I'm happy with everything else that this web site has to offer but obviously this is not a forum for me.
  • All i was doing was to draw your attention to the fact that on some K10D models there has been a tendancy that there has been some leaning in the image. I would suggest that this issue should be taken seriously and as already mentioned check out the Pentax User site and go to Pentax Digital SLRs and read the post " leaning pics with the K10D ". Hopefully this will help.
  • i would hope that in future we all take a bit more care when lining up our horizons.
  • It's not just me that's had the problem other Pentax users have also had it. If you check out the Pentax Users web site you will see what others have said about it.
I'm surprised to hear that there does'nt seem to be anyone on this site with the same issue.
  • Not on all models , the shake reduction has been thought to be the case even the viewing screen not being properly fitted has been sugested.
  • i don't think that when you've forked out £500 for a quality camera you want to be fixing the problem with imaging software. Especially when the problem does'nt seem arise with other Pentax models.
  • A question similar to mine was posted on the pentax forum and it was very interesting to hear how many people had a problem with leaning images. It did'nt matter how well the camera was held or even put on a tripod, even using a spirit level, the problem was still there. So i am interested to see if members of this forum have the same problem.
  • Its gone very quiet all of a sudden. Question too difficult ?
  • Back to the original question please
  • Hi All

I'm just interested to know if anyone with a K10D has experienced any of their pics leaning to the right. If so what have you done to put it right.

  • Quote:Ebay is good place to get photo equipment.
Tip : look at the feedback from the seller ,it gives a good indication of how good the the seller is.
got 100% mint nikon f55 body for £15.00...also bought a mb18 battery pack for £10.oo bargain.

It's worth checking as far back as you can with some feedback as sometimes you will see the feedback is repeated. Some E-Bayers used to be able to buy feedback.

  • Sorted
  • O.K lets start again.
    Back to original question
  • This is the first time i've put a post onto this forum and this is what i get.

    SILLY NONSENCE.
  • I know that all i have to do is to try it but i was hoping others may have some experience with it.
  • Hi all

I've just been given a Hoya Zoom Close-Up Lens with 52mm thread and i was just interested to know if it's any good.
