V1 and V4 for me as I think that they're the best in terms of detail and accomplishment.
I haven't seen one of these yet this year.
I've got loads of House Sparrows visiting my garden but as yet, not one of these.

Good set Ray, nicely focused on the eye, not sure what dof you used or shutter speed but you just need to try and capture the detail in the body a little more. Maybe it's a large crop (you don't say) but that's what may be causing the lack of definition in the feather detail on the body, no offence meant, just trying to help as I know how enthusiastic you are about bird photography Wink

Geoff.

Excellent shot of this Tree Sparrow Ray - and not an easy subject to capture. Love the light on the birds face and breast with the catch-light in the eye being the icing on the cake. Reading above that you are looking for some harsh critique please. In real life these little birds often choose to land in a bush full of branches. Maybe cloning out a few of the branches would add more impact but could spoil the feeling of the birds natural habitat.

Dave.

Sorry about the two Dave's above Ray but I got a telephone call whilst uploading. Sitting in the garage is a Monfroto (if that's how you spell it) monopod left here for your collection when next passing.
