Abbey Royale Fontevraud

By Ray42
I took these last year but I wasnt very well prepared and didnt have much time. It is the burial place of Richard the Lion Heart, and Henry IV, and it has also been a prison in Napleonic times. A very interesting place to visit and I hope to revisit again this year a bit more prepared as there are lots and lots of things to photograph. It could run enough pictures to do a good AV.

Beautiful images, like the light and colours of this peaceful looking place.

Like these Ray, nice set of images, on my screen they would help to be just a shade darker to bring out all that detail, we will see what other members think, looks like a beautiful place to visit, well done.

Super series of shots Ray with 1 and 4 being my favourites. Love the way the arch frames the picture in V1 and the arched walkway in V4 works extremely well and think it would also make a smashing mono image. Agree with our Dougie, could benefit from being a bit darker some of the shots. A pleasure to view, enjoyed looking at these very much.
