I was here first - Commern Terns and Oyster Catcher

By Ray42
Many thanks for the kind comments and clicks on the Fox, Otter and Water Vole shots - always very much appreciated. I must go on some epz meets - I thoroughly enjoyed the company.

This year again at the Denge hide at Dungeness these warring families were at it again on getting the nesting site - alas they couldnt agree to get along and so the oyster catcher has moved to another site (still looking for it) - they dont seem to have much luck. Last year all went well until the oyster catcher chick got predated. Still the Terns are still there so hope to get some of the chick albeit they are out on the water a fair distance away.

Constructive critique and any modifications are always very welcomed - Off for a bit of fishing tomorrow (taking the camera as well of course)

A fascinating sequence, V1 & V2 in particular show a three-way conversation (a rather boisterous one) going on.
I'll admit that I'm not really interested in pin-sharp feathers, focus-on-the-eye precision unless the image tells us something about the natural world. These do tell us something.

A fine set full of drama, Ray. Knowing where you were makes all the difference.

Thanks for your recent comments and humour. The lunchtime chips were great, thanks; on the Friday we dined at the Pilot - and I bought the T-shirt.

Same week next year - already booked!

Kind regards - and to Sally of course,

Great series, intersting that V1 & V3 the bird on the nest appears to be communicating with the one in the air to shift the Oystercatcher WinkWink.
