The Old Tollhouse.

By rayme330
1) The old tollhouse, built on an island in the middle of the Rhine at Falkenam, collected money from barges transporting goods and organised river traffic, centuries ago.
2) An unusual shaped house in the cramped streets of Cochem.
3) A young lady demonstrating antique musical boxes in Siegfrieds Mechanical Museum in Rudesheim, I think her name was Vinciane. Wink

Thanks for yesterday's C&Cs.

Fine set from the Rhine/Moselle area, Ray: we were booked to visit this area staying in Assmanhausen last September but had to cancel at the 24 hour when my GU started playing up.
Now I see what we were missing, so thank you for posting these and I look forward to more, hopefully?
I love these buildings in Cochem, so many photo opportunities and despite the narrow ways, you have got a fine shot here that gives a real flavour of the town.
I also like the lighting in V 1 ...... seems to make the building stand out in 3D.

Another good cross-section of images from your trip, Ray. I remember Rudesheim well... a wine tasting evening at Adolf's place (not that one!!).
