Can you identify this bee?

By rdown
I found this bee today sitting on a celandine enjoying the sun and the pollen. Anyone know what type of bee it is?

Nice shot well captured great detail. Bees seem to be really early this year. It could be a common carder bee

Seriously though - A nice clear shot with good colours. They do seem to be about early this year

Great close up!
Have no idea what 'kind' of bee it is, but you captured it very well...

It is a Honey bee. (Apis melfera) It is about this time that the queen starts to lay her eggs ready for the season. This one is out early but it is a worker gathering the early crop of pollen.
