Ahh, yes! Recognise this (now that mine's been ID'd!)!

Think I'd prefer to crop most of LHS and some of top to concentrate on the caterpillar more

Yup. I know these well. They have totally eaten my lovely Verbascum. Resident Blackbird has had 'em all now! Good shot.

Nice colourful shot and another excellent macro. Question, why is a mullein moth caterpillar on figwort??

Thanks everyone for your comments. I will try a version with the left bit cropped. Incidentally Mark I think your caterpillar may be a Water Betony moth as it appears to have black colouration between the segments. Otherwise the caterpillars look identical to Mulleins. Mullein moths and Water Betony moths are identical apart from some differences in the genitals I believe. Pam, figwort is one of the foodplants for these moths along with mullein and garden buddleia.
