Lake Buttermere by Davieboy

Lake Buttermere

Lovely job and also agree with removing that bitthe fence.
Also but very much a technicality, Buttermere is NOT a lake!! The clue is in its name ButterMEREWink
There is only 1 designated lake in the Lake District .. Bassenthwaite

Lake Windermere at Dusk by daveyo

Lake Windermere at Dusk

Lovely shot, will be up there on Saturday for the week. wonderful place

By: daveyo

It is one of the most enjoyable roads around Ambleside, great fun to drive
But you really mean the KIRKSTONE PASS and the KIRKSTONE INN
The Struggle meets the Kirkstone Pass at the Inn
The Honister pass is between Derwentwater and Buttermere

The Struggle by Scooby10

The Struggle

One of my favourite bits of road in the lake District, grand shotGrin
Done similar shots many times, but usually in poorer weather

PS Lake Bassenthwaite is the only designated lake in the 'Lake' District
All the others are Tarns, Waters or Meres as in the case of WindermereWink
