Self

By redjoker
took this today as i wanted a new PF image and felt like doing some posing i guess!

i wanted a high key image but also something that was soft on my features and flattering

i think (hope) ive achieved this

im aware some parts are blown out but i really like it and im pleased with the effect i gained, and after all it was just abit of fun

however i still would like to hear you opinion!

Some more serious shots on their way later in the week

Hey Megan,
I like noise and dark contrast in the tones makes a good portrait, you have cropped it well with a good pose.

Self portrait, probably one of the hardest things to do, (never managed a good one) I like the colours and contrast, the burnt highlights donít really detract from the over all image for me.
There is more to photography than technically perfect/correct, often itís the mood and expression that are paramount, this has both, you do look a little sad though.
Photography is serious
Photography is fun
Photography is whatever you want it to be.

Good job, you should like it.

I wonder how that happened, I donít make many deep comments unless I think the person wants them or I know them, I like the easy life without hassle Grin

Yes you are right, the first thing about any hobby is liking what you do, not much point otherwise! I have lots of not so great images that I like for one reason or another.

Great portrait and I like this evocative style - although I think you've managed sad and moody, instead of mean and moody Smile
