Whilst I reserve the right to change my mind, think this will be my last upload from this series.
This is easily my favourite image, the trail of steps heading towards the circle could be a druid or a pilgrim (or more likely a guy in a high vis jacket, but one of those is a druid, or so he told me!)
The gentle peachy light is just enough to create light and shade in the snow, gentle soft curves creating an almost alien feel to the landscape.

To me this image is more subtle than the others I took on the day and somehow capture more of the beauty of both the Henge and the surrounding landscape.

What sets this shot apart for me is the small details, the footprints, the light and the clear sky.

I now need to get and find a new subject, I honestly do not think I can do the Henge better than this. So, rarely for me, this is the only version, and again, most unlike me-NO MODS! Well it was the only version, but it has a dust mark on it, so please look at version 2-no mark!

I think this is my favourite of the set. Subtle and mysterious and I agree about the footprints. Being in Wiltshire, you are spoiled for monumental structures. The whole Avebury landscape including the avenues, Silbury Hill, West Kennet Long Barrow. I'm sure you won't be wanting for another subject for long.

from my amature viewpoint this is near to being perfect. Well composed, love the pastel colours in contrast sharp geometric shapes of the rocks. A very well composed image, nice one Jon.

Hi, Absolutely love the shot.
I was doing a reccy on Epz as too the extent of stenge coverage, Easy to see you have the best images of it.
The reason for the reccy was I plan on going there tomorrow and wondered as to the out of hours access? Am I likely to be either thrown out or arrested?
I plan on doing a sunset, 5pm ish, and photographing the circle by moonlight!! Do you think this is possible?
I see you used a wide-ish angle lens, does that mean you can get quite close???
