My tribute

By redstag
I was lucky enough to see the Red Arrows yesterday flying over Bournemouth. I had no idea they were there, and was on the beach at Shell bay.
I am posting this as my small tribute to Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging who lost his life today. My sympathy and condolences to his family, seeing the faces of the people on the beach watching should give his family great comfort, a mixture of pride and joy at watching these superb pilots in action could be seen in everyone.

Rest in Peace, and thank you.

These men live with death so close and its very sad indeed when an accident like this happens. All I can say is he died doing something that he loved and lived for.

A fine tribute to him Jon.

Thanks all for the comments and clicks. This is far from the best image of the Red Arrows you will see (Check out Keith Henson's image for true classics!) but I wanted to express my feelings. Having seen Emma Egging on television, I have to congratulate her on the amazing dignity she has shown. I hope that she has found comfort in the out pouring of support that has been shown over recent days.
