this an extraordinary image for me, the white horse on the snow perfectly positioned and the sky is amazing, ive put it to my favourites, wonderful work on what could have been a tricky exposure im sure,

Many thanks for your comment Phil, it was a very tricky shot, a few seconds later he was so close to me, his head filled the frame.

A great shot, I never see skies like this, fabulous colours ~ I'll have to go down to Dartmoor. Well seen and exposed.

Initially I thought this was a manipulated image, with the pony having been added to the landscape shot.......But alas no, well done to you. Good image.

Totally agree with Phil's comments.
When this first caught my eye I thought it was a manipulated image, but a closer look shows what a great capture this is.. well taken.

I've come back to this image twice, and that's because I'm in two minds about it. You see, overall I really like it - almost all of it. But I can't see the pony's fourth leg. That might seem like a minor niggle, but it just looks so unnatural to me. Almost like it's been amputated or something. But I like the good-looking subject in the snow, against a good sky, I like the ultra wide angle effect on the subject, it's almost a brilliant image to me - except for that leg (sorry...). Just felt I had to mention it, hope you don't mind. Did you take any more? (Said I, hoping you'll say yes...) Smile

Hi Conrad, The trouble was is was b*****y freezing on the moor that day, and yes I agree with you about the forth leg, but using the ultra wide as I did and kneeling in deep snow, this dude was in my face (literaly in the next shot) I think he was looking for food. But as for the missing leg, I will search my archive for that one (once I finish thawing out) or a better angle maybe.

Leg aside ! to combine a wondeful landscape with such a pleasing wildlife shot and add to that light to die for I think this shot is just beautuful

Know exactly what you mean, Mark. Hopefully your archive search will yield another one, that would be great!
