Know Your Onions

By Rende
Our neighbour is an organic farmer, which means that he can't spray his crops with all kinds of weedkillers. Therefore he had to devise a way to deal with the weeds.
He employs local school kids who lie down on a contraption that slowly gets pulled behind the tractor, and they pull out all the weeds. Music is included plus a cover for bad weather.
In this series they're going through the onions.
Many thanks to Zoran and Moira for their much appreciated user awards on my third tulip set! Smile

They might be laying down, but I bet this is hard graft especially if the weather is warm...

Unusual images but very good.

Not the sort of work that I would ever contemplate. Sad

Very similar to a contraption they use here in Norway for planting. Haven't seen this version before where they are weeding.

One of the most amazingly silly things I have encountered - as a Silly Sunday upload, I mean!
Very inventive and exceedingly funny; though I would be worried about what the man in V4 was about to do!
Excellent and informative colour set, Rende.

I thought it was a joke, Rende, but obviously not. What is the boy doing with a screwdriver?
V5 is just great, especially the raised crossed legs.

Great idea, I would never have thought of making a report of it.
