The Eyes Have It

Good morning dear folks,

I am pleased that now I have time to upload and check your images.

As it was an event taking place in the framework of the Theatre Festival held by the Selcuk University Dilek Sabanci State Conservatory, the opening of the festival and the exhibition concurrently took place at 07.00 pm on the 2nd of May. The rector of the University and the director of the Sabancı Foundation (the sponsor of the festival) and many invited visitors, deans, colleagues, guests and students were present at the opening cocktail, therefore there were many guaranteed visitors to see the exhibited photographs. Their appreciative remarks and congratulations made me happy. The only negative thing was that two of the photographs fell down during the break of the performance of the play last night and the glasses of the frames were broken. Today's upload was one of them.


The photographs are all black and white and 30X40 in size. Vertical and horizontal compositions are exhibited on two separate walls in two rows.

I am flabbergasted by by your appreciation and all those User Awards placed on my last upload. I am very grateful to you all for your sincere encouragement and support. I have to express my thankfulness here to RickNash, Moira, Leo, Kate, Nev, Dave, Brian, Carole, Jo, Helen, Richard, Sandy, Ollie, Jenn, Cliff and Dave for their awards given to my "Triangle". as I had no time to write personal messages to them.
I am adding a few photographs taken by my friend Yuksel (yuksel) during the opening cocktail as versions to give an idea of the event.

So pleased to learn of the successful exhibition, Nezih. The mood of this individual photograph is outstanding, with the unified intensity of all the expressions and the rich tones, while the supporting images prove the popularity of the event.
We have a set of our photographs lining the walls of our staircase. Now and again we brush against a frame; clearing up the resulting mess of glass fragments is most unpleasant!
