Autumn light

Taken on a recent trip to The Dolomites, northern Italy...

We rounded a bend early one morning in the van and this church sat proud with a wonderful recession of mountains down the valley I noticed the light we were in and the church not so decided to pull over and wait for the light to bathe the church in its warm glow.

I am glad we stopped and it gave my students an insight to reading the landscape and anticipating what might happen, one a couple of them were quite enlightened with "pun intended" lol

An awesome place, great layers of shapes and colours.
Personally I would have a look at a frame without the sky, scrolling upwards takes it away but you are still left with the great layers in the landscape. Just a suggestion.

Chase...by eliminating the sky the church spire would be too close to the top of the image, you'd loose scale, plus you loose about 70% of the mountains and almost all of the recession which is a big part of the image in my opinion 100% wouldn't work and would crucify the image, thanks for the input though...
