Good memories, it's a fabulous room.
Such a wide dynamic range, youve done well to retain most of the highlights.
Ive tried two mods, hoped to get more highlight detail but couldnt; the second mod used an adaptive wide angle correction to try to get the centre of the ceiling in line all the way back, - its sort of successful, but loses a few bits unfortunately.

Thanks for the mods, Willie. It certainly was a wide dynamic range. I probably should have done an exposure blend. From memory, I'm not sure whether the original or the mod is closer to the actual scene at the time - it was probably somewhere between the two. I did fiddle with the distortions, and that was about as close as I could get - yours is better.

Wow! You've done well to record all the ornate, lustrous detail in this marvellous room, Allan, especially considering the somewhat limited capacity of the 4/3 sensor to capture darker tones. Thanks also for the interesting information about the library. Bob
