From the Ashes!

Taken at Hell's Mouth this morning.

Every spring the channel to the fishing cove is cleared of rocks that have been washed in there during the winter. And this is what it looks like at low water. I had to crouch right down, to get the sun behind the big boulder on the left, and filled my boots with cold water at the same time!

I think the cloud looks like a giant bird, hence the title! Hope you like it.

F22, 1/3 sec, Lens @ 14mm, ISO 100, ND grad, 6:39 am.

Another awesome image Tony. I especially like the cloud formation, it does look like a bird as you say and also the way the light falls on the rocks. Great photograph as always.

Like the pic but wouldn't have liked the cold wet feet. the colours on the rocks look great and the colours wonderful.

I can see the Phoenix in the clouds Tony,I like the contrasts of the rocks at either side of the water,one side is cold & the other has that beautiful golden light falling on it.Lovely composition & very much worth wet feet!
